Assumptions

Our primary aim was to manufacture the cabinets with implemented RFID technology, which would provide fully automatic identification of the resources stored in the cabinet, as well as registration of all takings and deliveries assigned to a given user, thanks to which a number of activities performed so far by a man (control, delivery, inventory, archiving) could be taken over by the cabinet.

And so ever since, as the concept in question has been developed, today we strive to devise products, which benefit from the RFID technology even more, as a result of which human participation can be maximally reduced in line with the Internet of Things.

According to this concept, activities of the user have been limited to a few simple steps, whereas all performed operations are registered in the system and are available for management and control purposes. We continue our research in order to optimise these processes even further.

Project assumptions and results:

improved reading efficiency

small-sized items of different purposes can be stored in the cabinet, and as they are tagged they can be reliably identified

radio waves are propagated within the product (cabinet) only

thanks to which, the system will be even more reliable and will not be subject to faulty operation (incidental or intentional) e.g. as a result of classifying the items located outside the cabinet, as the ones stored inside

decreased number of antennas with simultaneous reading improvement

and the resulting reduction of costs and energy consumption

decreased production costs

and the resulting decrease of the sales price

Product characteristics:

touch screen

separate for each cabinet or common for a number of cabinets

registration

registration of access obtained by means of the RFID card with possible additional authorisation,

versatile software

providing data export to integrate with ERP systems implemented in the companies, or to manage the processes (registration, supervision, deliveries)

possible review

of the cabinet’s content or certain cabinets’ content, operations history, adding/removing the item, granting authorisations, managing the users, etc.
